Lifeline is a federal benefit that lowers the monthly cost of telephone or internet service for qualifying customers.
If you qualify, you can get one Lifeline discount (for telephone or internet, but not both) per household. This discount can be applied to ATMC bundled or non-bundled services.
To find out if you are eligible, log on to www.checklifeline.org and submit an application online or you may send a paper application to the National Verifier by mail. (The address is on the application).

The National Verifier will let you know if you qualify. If you qualify, you may go to any ATMC office to enroll in Lifeline and receive your monthly discount. This discount may be applied to ATMC bundled or non-bundled services. Be sure to bring your letter or notification from the National Verifier with you. ATMC office locations:
Government rules specifically state that each subscriber can have no more than one Lifeline discounted service. Lifeline is limited to one discount per household and cannot be transferred between individuals. Additional requirements may apply.
